FSU continues to bolster its baseball roster for the 2025 season with additions from the JUCO ranks. On Sunday evening, outfielder Chase Williams committed to the Seminoles, announcing his decision on Instagram. Williams, who hit .379 with 29 stolen bases, eight doubles, one triple, and two homers in his freshman year at Northwest Florida State, joins a strong group of JUCO transfers for FSU.

Standing at 5-10 and weighing 170 pounds, Williams is a switch-hitter who throws right-handed. He earned second team All-Conference honors and was recognized as a 2024 FCSAA Gold Glover. Williams marks the seventh JUCO addition to Florida State’s 2025 roster, joining teammates like Mack Estrada. The Seminoles’ JUCO class also includes first baseman Blaydon Pain, infielder Carter McCulley, and pitchers Nick Greeney, Aiden Butler, and Chris Knier.

In the 2024 season, Florida State posted an impressive 49-17 overall record, including a dominant 32-4 mark at home in Tallahassee. They advanced to the ACC Tournament Championship and secured a berth in the College World Series in Omaha. Although they fell short in Omaha, losing to Tennessee after victories over Virginia and UNC, the Seminoles’ strong season underscores their resurgence under coach Link Jarrett, restoring high expectations for the upcoming 2025 campaign.
