Initially teasing with the vague term “soon,” the 38-year-old forward, Cristiano Ronaldo, humorously suggested that he might continue playing for another decade during the Globe Soccer Awards in Dubai.

“The moment I finish, I don’t know, to be honest,” Ronaldo said. “Of course, it will be soon—I mean, 10 years more.”

“No, I am joking. I don’t know, let’s see.”

The Portuguese star is presently the leading scorer in the Saudi Pro League this season with 20 goals, three more than his nearest rival, Aleksandar Mitrovic. Ronaldo also secured the title of the top scorer in world football for 2023, amassing 54 goals for both his club and country throughout the calendar year, surpassing the goal tally of both Erling Haaland and Harry Kane.
