Thane’s Tragic Tale: Stray Dogs Attack Leaves Elderly Woman Fighting for Life

In a shocking incident that has sparked outrage and concern, a 60-year-old woman in Thane was brutally attacked by a pack of stray dogs, leaving her in critical condition. The horrifying event, which occurred near Regency Sarvam housing complex in Titwala, highlights the growing issue of stray dog aggression in urban areas.

 

## **The Attack: A Harrowing Ordeal**

Eyewitnesses reported that four stray dogs pounced on the woman near buildings 8 and 9 of the housing complex, dragging her nearly **100 meters** while mauling her severely. The victim, whose identity remains unknown, was left unconscious with deep injuries, including a severe head wound. Residents and a security guard intervened just in time to rescue her, but the damage was already done .

The woman was rushed to multiple hospitals, starting with Goveli government hospital before being transferred to **Kalwa government hospital** and finally to **JJ Hospital in Mumbai**, where she remains in critical condition. Doctors confirmed the severity of her injuries, noting that she had been attacked on multiple parts of her body .

Just days before, two children were injured in stray dog attacks in Ambernath, and a month earlier, a **4-year-old girl and a 25-year-old man lost their lives** in similar attacks in Bhiwandi .
