Randy Orton expresses a desire for another match against John Cena, particularly at WrestleMania. Despite having faced each other multiple times since their WWE debuts in 2002, Orton and Cena have never had a one-on-one encounter on the grand stage of WrestleMania. Their only WrestleMania bout occurred in 2008, where they participated in a triple threat match alongside Triple H.

During a recent episode of WWE’s The Bump, Randy Orton discussed the prospect of entering WrestleMania 40 as a 14-time World Champion, trailing just two reigns behind John Cena’s 16. Orton mentioned that while the pursuit of title records doesn’t necessarily keep him up at night, he feels he has ample time to achieve or even surpass the record currently shared by Cena and Ric Flair.

Randy Orton expressed a grounded perspective on the possibility of surpassing John Cena’s 16 World Championship reigns, stating, “It’s not something that I harp on.” He acknowledged the significance of his 14 title reigns, emphasizing his gratitude for the opportunities he has had. While expressing his desire to achieve more title victories, Orton mentioned that it doesn’t consume his thoughts or keep him awake at night. He believes he has sufficient time left in his career and feels confident that he will have the chance to wear the championship belt one or two more times.

Although John Cena’s active in-ring career has diminished, he occasionally makes returns to WWE. Randy Orton believes that another match between him and Cena should happen at WrestleMania.

Randy Orton expresses his dream of having a match against John Cena at WrestleMania for the title, acknowledging the challenge of reaching such a scenario. He highlights the fact that they have never faced each other in a singles match at WrestleMania despite their past intense battles. Orton sees the potential match as not only a personal desire but something that would resonate well with the fans, considering the history and intensity of their past encounters.
