UFC’s Raquel Pennington and Mayra Bueno Silva engage in the ultimate faceoff ahead of their highly anticipated championship bout for the vacant title.

The culmination of the journey to crown a new women’s bantamweight champion is just one step away after the conclusive faceoff between UFC 297 co-headliners Raquel Pennington and Mayra Bueno Silva.

Set to take place in the co-main event at Scotiabank Arena in Toronto, Pennington (15-8 MMA, 12-5 UFC) and Bueno Silva (10-2-1 MMA, 5-2-1 UFC) will vie for the vacant title left behind by Amanda Nunes’ retirement in June of the previous year.

Both Raquel Pennington and Mayra Bueno Silva successfully made weight at the official weigh-ins on Friday. Following that, in a display of mutual respect, the two fighters faced off once again during the ceremonial weigh-ins held hours later.
