Is it possible that the Denver Broncos may discover a suitable trade partner for wide receiver Jerry Jeudy in the Carolina Panthers?

Trade rumors involving Jeudy have been circulating since last offseason. Despite these speculations, the Broncos retained him through the NFL trade deadline on October 31. However, as Jeudy enters the final year of his rookie contract, there are indications that Denver might consider trading him this offseason.

According to the NFL Scouting Department at Bleacher Report, it’s proposed that the Broncos explore a trade, sending Jeudy to the Panthers in exchange for cornerback Jaycee Horn and a fourth-round draft pick in 2025.

In this suggested trade scenario, the Denver Broncos would benefit by saving some cap space through the trade of Jerry Jeudy. In return, they would acquire a talented young cornerback, Jaycee Horn, to pair with Patrick Surtain II. On the other side, the Carolina Panthers would secure a promising young receiver in Jeudy to support quarterback Bryce Young in his upcoming sophomore season.

During the recently concluded season, Jeudy participated in 16 games, recording 54 receptions for 758 yards and two touchdowns. The 24-year-old, a product of the University of Alabama, was selected by the Broncos as the 15th overall pick in the 2020 NFL Draft. His impressive rookie year saw him tally 52 catches for 856 yards and three touchdowns. Injuries limited his appearances to 10 games in 2021, and in 2022, he had his most productive season to date, with 67 receptions for 972 yards and six touchdowns.

Jerry Jeudy experienced a notable decline in performance this past year, making it understandable that Denver might be open to moving him.

Conversely, Jaycee Horn faced injury setbacks during the 2023 season, participating in only six games. However, in the previous year, he showcased a solid performance across 13 games, registering 53 tackles, three interceptions, and seven passes defended.

As a former first-round pick, Horn has encountered challenges in finding stability in the NFL due to persistent injury issues, playing in a total of 22 games over three seasons. A change of scenery could potentially benefit both Jeudy and Horn in their respective career trajectories.
