Sherrone Moore faced additional challenges in assembling his coaching staff today, though there were some positive developments as well.

Unfortunately, there is some adverse news on the coaching front, aligning with the title of today’s 3R report – “Pro coaching jobs impacting Michigan’s target list”…

Reliable sources have informed me that Doug Mallory, currently an analyst with Michigan, is set to depart from the college program to join the NFL. Reportedly, he will be heading to Baltimore to assume a role as one of the organization’s secondary coaches, likely focusing on the safeties. This vacancy emerged when the former defensive backs coach, Dennard Wilson, left the Ravens to take on the position of defensive coordinator for the Tennessee Titans. Mallory, aged 59, received recognition within the Michigan program for his substantial contributions to the team’s coverage strategies in the secondary. His most recent on-field coaching stint was as a defensive assistant with the Atlanta Falcons from 2015 to 2020, during which he served as the defensive backs or assistant defensive backs coach in the last three years.
