The Green Bay Packers should be thrilled with Jordan Love’s performance in 2023. To the extent that rumors about their intention to prolong Love this off-season have already surfaced.

Although the Packers’ season came to an unfortunate conclusion, things appear better than ever in the future.

Many predicted that the squad would struggle in the NFL following Aaron Rodgers’ trade to the New York Jets.

But in the end, the Packers took the task head-on and emerged as one of the NFC’s final four standing teams, surprising everyone. They may now be giving Love and this offensive a significant boost.

This offseason, the Packers have a serious need at left tackle, as mentioned in the David Bakhtiari trade proposal. Although Bakhtiari has been an excellent player, his injuries have rendered him unpredictable. The Packers don’t often move up or select an offensive player in the first round, but the need at tackle might make an exception.

For a long time, the Packers have benefited from having a strong offensive line. Most of the time, Bakhtairi’s play at left tackle has contributed to that.

It will be hard to find an answer in free agency. To locate Love’s long-term blindside defender, the Packers would be better off using the draft, but they could need to move up in the selection order to get him.

It would take some draft money to go from No. 25 to No. 14, but the Packers have a healthy supply of draft picks. Green Bay has the fifth-best collection of picks in this year’s draft, per Tankathon’s power rankings.

The New Orleans Saints may be particularly interested in that. They might gain by having more players on rookie contracts because they are always making cuts that are almost at the cap. Additionally, they currently do not possess a third- or fourth-round pick.

In exchange for a third-round pick, the Packers would be in a better position to select a left tackle candidate in the middle of the first round than a few other teams that are in need of tackles. Potential targets for this kind of action could be Tyler Guyton or Kingsley Suamataia.
