The San Francisco 49ers have a lot of exciting things to look forward to for the club in the upcoming season, despite losing to the Kansas City Chiefs in the most recent Super Bowl. And if all goes according to plan, the team might select Amarius Mims with the 31st pick.

The 49ers finished first in the NFC West with a 12-5 record last season, capping an amazing run. Before the playoffs began, the squad put up a strong performance, led by Christian McCaffrey, Trent Williams, Fred Warner, Nick Bosa, Brandon Aiyuk, and Brock Purdy.

The 49ers began their playoff run with a close 24-21 victory over the Green Bay Packers, thanks to their first-seed finish. As a result, they won the NFC championship and were invited to the Super Bowl.

The 49ers lost to Kansas City in Super Bowl LVIII after having a strong run. However, in terms of San Francisco’s offensive, things could take an intriguing turn in the forthcoming draft.

The San Francisco 49ers are anticipated to choose Amarium Mims with the 31st pick in the draft. This move is explained by Field Yates in an ESPN mock draft piece.
The 49ers’ inability to hold up under pressure during their Super Bowl loss served as a reminder that the offensive line needs to be strengthened this offseason. San Francisco had the 11th-highest percentage of pressure-allowed dropbacks in the NFL last season (32.2%). In addition to being a potential long-term right tackle replacement for Trent Williams, who turns 36 in July, Mims might also be a plan for the future.

With only 800 collegiate career snaps under his belt, or around one season, Mims may require some time to develop, but Yates noted that “he is worth investing in and developing, given his massive frame, long wingspan, and unfairly effortless movement skills.”

If all goes according to plan, Mims can help San Francisco’s offensive get better the next year. This Georgia offensive tackle pick can help the 49ers avenge their Super Bowl defeat with a possible big win in the next game, all it takes is a few more pieces to fit the puzzle.
