The Green Bay Packers hold the 25th pick in the 2024 NFL Draft, and their primary focus for that selection, particularly in the first round, is expected to be on cornerback. Numerous NFL mock drafts have been circulating recently, reflecting the anticipation and speculation surrounding the upcoming draft.

Bleacher Report published an NFL Mock Draft on Monday, covering the entire first round of the 2024 NFL Draft. With the actual draft scheduled for the end of the month, anticipation is high as teams and fans await the unveiling of each team’s selections.

The Green Bay Packers are expected to target a cornerback in the first round of the 2024 NFL Draft, but there’s uncertainty about whether Cooper DeJean will still be available by the time the Packers make their selection at the 25th pick, as he has been projected differently in various mock drafts.

The Bleacher Report Scouting Department highlighted the Packers’ shift in focus to the defensive side of the ball, particularly with the transition to a new defensive scheme under Jeff Hafley. Despite having Jaire Alexander, Eric Stokes, and Keisean Nixon at cornerback, the Packers have faced challenges due to injuries to Alexander and Stokes. DeJean, from Iowa, is seen as both a contingency plan and a valuable addition to the team’s defense.

Last season, DeJean demonstrated his abilities with Iowa, recording 41 tackles, two interceptions, and five pass deflections, despite missing some time due to injury. Standing at 6’1″ and weighing 207 lbs, DeJean possesses the physical attributes that align with the Packers’ defensive needs.

While DeJean is a strong candidate for the Packers, other cornerback prospects will likely be considered leading up to the 2024 NFL Draft.
