The Boston Red Sox are currently without two of their top power hitters, but there’s hope that they could return to action soon. Despite facing a string of significant injuries, the Red Sox have managed to maintain a 12-10 record this season. While the team has been challenged by injuries, it appears that reinforcements may be arriving next week.

Five things to know about new Red Sox outfielder Tyler O'Neill

Boston’s top sluggers, Rafael Devers and Tyler O’Neill, have been sidelined with different injuries, but there’s optimism that they could return to action on Tuesday. According to Chris Cotillo of MassLive.com, Devers is expected to be back in the lineup when the Red Sox begin a three-game series in Cleveland after an off day on Monday. Red Sox manager Alex Cora stated, “He’s feeling better,” and mentioned that both Devers and O’Neill will be hitting outside on Monday. Cora expressed that the plan is for Devers to rest over the weekend and be fully prepared for Tuesday’s game. Despite battling nagging shoulder soreness, Devers is not expected to be available as a pinch hitter during the weekend series.

Boston has relied on its strong starting rotation to secure wins, but the team’s offense has not met expectations so far this season. The potential return of Devers and O’Neill should provide a much-needed boost to the club. However, the team received unfortunate news on Saturday when Triston Casas suffered an injury of his own. Hopefully, Devers and O’Neill stay on course with their recovery and can rejoin the lineup next week.
