The Crows have received unfortunate news as defender Josh Worrell will be sidelined for an extended period due to injury. Worrell, 23, underwent surgery for a fractured forearm sustained during the third quarter of the Crows’ match against Brisbane on Sunday. According to Kuwarna high performance manager Darren Burgess, Worrell is expected to miss 8-12 weeks while recovering from the injury. Despite the setback, Burgess expressed confidence in Worrell’s dedication to rehabilitation and anticipated his return to the team once fully recovered.

The Crows are facing additional challenges with key players sidelined due to injuries, including Riley Thilthorpe (knee), Nick Murray (knee), Wayne Milera (knee), and Luke Pedlar (shoulder). Despite these setbacks, they managed to secure a draw against the Lions, placing them in 12th position on the ladder. They currently trail eighth-placed Collingwood by eight points as they prepare to take on the Magpies on Saturday.
