The University of Louisville football staff has secured their quarterback for the Class of 2025 in Mason Mims.

Now, the Cardinals are targeting a quarterback for the Class of 2026.

On Thursday night, they extended an offer to four-star quarterback Brady Hart from Cocoa High School in Florida. Hart led his team to a 14-1 record and a Florida 2S state title as a first-year starter last fall.

Louisville is the 22nd school to offer Brady Hart, who completed 288-of-437 passes (65.9%) for 3,759 yards and 41 touchdowns last season.

The 6-foot-4, 180-pound Hart is ranked as the No. 109 overall prospect in the 2026 class, the No. 9 quarterback in the nation, and the No. 19 player in Florida, according to the 247Sports Composite rankings.

247Sports Director of Scouting Andrew Ivins provided this evaluation of Hart last month:

“Modern pocket passer with a favorable frame who led his team to a Florida 2S title as a first-year starter. More of a drive-ball thrower who can generate plenty of power by syncing up his arm and plant foot.

Owns a bit of an elongated release but can get the ball out quickly, necessary in a wide-open spread attack that challenges horizontally with swing/screen passes. First caught our eye in a matchup against nationally-ranked St. Thomas Aquinas, where he put a number of 2-balls on tight lines and exploited coverage.

Also impressed with his timing, frequently hitting his marks on schedule. Can be streaky at times and doesn’t take many deep shots, but looks like a potential Power Four starter heading into his junior season, especially if he continues progressing as a full-field reader.”
